MAY I please take this opportunity through your paper to say thank you for restoring my faith in human kindness.
My car ran out of petrol on the way to work – not the best start to a Monday morning.

I left it parked next to Hillheads farm in Killingworth and trekked through the mud to Morrrisons petrol station – not an easy feat in high heeled sandals with
a four-year-old in tow.

After getting some petrol and starting the trek back with a now very tired four-year-old, a lovely angel in a blue car stopped at the side of the road and offered me a lift. Having seen my tired son at the petrol station and then passing my car about a mile and a half away, this lovely lady turned her car round and headed back to give me a lift and save a damsel in distress.

She was a complete stranger but had been in similar circumstances herself so thought she would lend a hand and I would like to say a huge thank you to her.

People are usually so busy in their own world with the rush of getting
to work etc. I really appreciate that she took some time out to help me.

She has restored my faith in human kindness and I in turn will see what I can do to help someone else and definitely pass it on.
