WHITLEY BAY'S dream of an FA Vase final at Wembley was agonisingly denied on Saturday when they failed to overhaul Lowestoft Town's first leg advantage.
The Seahorses went into the Hillheads tie trailing 4-0 from the first leg, and despite scoring three goals in the first 20 minutes they were unable to find the target for a fourth time, which would have sent the game into extra-time with the possibility of a penalty shoot-out to follow.
